Model-year records

What the 2022 record can and cannot say

The 2022 record contains 0 complaints. That is approximately at the median complaint count in these records. The comparison shows how this year's count fits within our records, but it cannot establish a defect rate.

This year's displayed data does not include a component breakdown.

Engine replacement or major internal repair has the highest midpoint parts estimate in the applicable list, at $7,000. Check existing factory coverage and contract exclusions before counting that amount as a saving from a new plan.

Body & structure

Official safety recall2022Campaign 22V238000

Body or structural component may fail

Missing spot-welds between the body panels and the front shock absorber mounting areas may cause the front shock absorber to separate from the mounting area.

NHTSA campaign 22V238000 includes certain 2022 Lexus NX 350 vehicles. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Lexus) is recalling certain 2022 NX250, NX350, NX350h, and NX450h+ vehicles. Missing spot-welds between the body panels and the front shock absorber mounting areas may cause the front shock absorber to separate from the mounting area. A separated shock absorber can cause a loss of vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Symptoms to compare
  • A body or structural part may feel loose, make noise or detach, although warning signs are not guaranteed
  • An open campaign appears when the complete VIN is checked
  • Some recalled vehicles may show no advance warning before the component fails

Other ways owners describe it: body panel feels loose; part hanging under car; rattle from body; roof part coming loose; body component detached; structure recall.

Confirm who pays before authorizing work

A recall remedy follows the campaign and VIN eligibility. A service bulletin provides diagnosis or repair instructions; it does not by itself promise payment. Manufacturer warranty extensions and support programs have their own conditions.
