Model-year records

What the 2021 record can and cannot say

Owners submitted 6 complaints for the 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in this database. That count lands about 3 reports below the median complaint count in these records, without adjusting for sales or time on the road.

Engine is the most common tag, attached to 3 reports, or 50% of this year's submitted complaints. Check that component's coverage terms; the share does not predict its chance of failure.

The largest applicable parts midpoint belongs to Engine replacement or major internal repair at $7,000. Coverage has value only if the administrator accepts both the component and the cause.

Safety restraints

Air bag system safety defect

The passenger air bag may tear during deployment.

NHTSA campaign 25V454000 includes certain 2020 to 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque vehicles. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2020–2025 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The passenger air bag may tear during deployment. A torn air bag may not adequately protect an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Symptoms to compare
  • An air bag or SRS warning may appear, but some affected vehicles have no advance warning
  • An open campaign appears when the complete VIN is checked
  • Some recalled vehicles may show no advance warning before the component fails

Other ways owners describe it: airbag warning light is on; air bag recall; airbag might not work; SRS light came on; airbag deployed by itself; airbag inflator problem.

Which vehicles the source covers
  • 2020 to 2025 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
  • NHTSA campaign 25V454000
  • The manufacturer filing lists 21,000 potentially affected units across the complete campaign.
  • VIN eligibility determines whether this recall applies to an individual vehicle

Safety recall eligibility is based on the VIN and campaign scope, not ordinary warranty mileage. Check the complete VIN even when the vehicle is outside its original warranty.

Evidence for this issue

Confirm who pays before authorizing work

A recall remedy follows the campaign and VIN eligibility. A service bulletin provides diagnosis or repair instructions; it does not by itself promise payment. Manufacturer warranty extensions and support programs have their own conditions.

Keep a current problem separate from future coverage

These files do not supply a shop quote. Ask for a diagnosis and written estimate, then check recall remedies or existing coverage. A new vehicle service contract generally excludes pre-existing conditions.

Each file retains its original source review date. Historical remedy wording can change; check the current manufacturer notice and NHTSA VIN lookup for your vehicle. The separately dated NHTSA counts elsewhere on this page use a different dataset and scope.

An unmatched specification is an information gap. Do not borrow an engine or drivetrain from another year.
