Who it fits
Is Omega Auto Care a good fit for you?
Worth considering for
Drivers of high-mileage cars looking mainly for powertrain coverage.
Less suited to
Drivers who need broad coverage at very high mileage. Omega's 250,000-mile ceiling doesn't apply to every tier.
Plans and prices
What does Omega Auto Care cost?
| Plan | Chaiz monthly example | Coverage | Chaiz-listed coverage duration | Covered miles |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Powertrain Enhanced | $80 to $130/month | Basic Plus | 3 to 6 years | Up to 100,000 covered miles |
| Stated | $90 to $140/month | Broad stated coverage | 3 to 5 years | Up to 100,000 covered miles |
| Exclusionary | $90 to $140/month | Exclusionary | 3 to 5 years | Up to 125,000 covered miles |
Chaiz labels these as average monthly costs from selected states, not guaranteed quotes or total contract prices. Its profile says monthly payment options apply only to three-year payment terms, which may differ from coverage duration. Chaiz's general FAQ currently says marketplace plans do not exceed three years, so the live quote and form must resolve that conflict.
The details to check
How coverage and claims work
- Who handles claims and is responsible for payment
- Omega's linked samples name EGV Companies as administrator and usually provider or obligor. Several states use a different obligor or insurer, including Lyndon Southern Insurance Company in Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
- Which sample contract we could check
- Omega's current coverage page links public sample forms dated 2019 or 2020. They are useful for questions, but the current customer form and state amendment must be compared line by line.
- Vehicle eligibility
- Omega's official coverage page says New Exclusionary is for the current model year plus seven and under 100,000 miles; Used Stated reaches the current year plus ten and under 150,000 miles; Powertrain Protection reaches the current year plus fifteen and under 250,000 miles.
- Claim process
- The public samples require a licensed repair facility to obtain authorization before work. The customer may owe teardown if the condition is excluded, and the form permits payment to the facility or customer.
- Waiting period
- Omega's linked samples refer to the declarations and validation period rather than one universal wait. Chaiz currently lists 30 days and 1,000 miles; confirm both numbers in the quoted declarations.
- Cancellation and transfer
- The sample provides a full refund in the first 30 days less any claims. Later refunds are generally prorated using the lesser of unused time or mileage, less paid claims and a $75 fee, with state variations. Chaiz currently lists a $50 transfer fee. The customer form and state amendment control.
Reasons to shortlist
What we like about Omega Auto Care
- Its powertrain mileage limit gives some older, well-traveled cars another option.
- You can compare powertrain coverage with two broader types of plan.
- The coverage page lists age and mileage limits for each tier, so you can check where your car fits.
Before paying
What to check before you buy
- Confirm the mileage ceiling for the exact tier and whether the quoted mileage is added coverage or an expiration odometer.
- Compare the current form with the older public sample, including maintenance, authorization and cancellation terms.
- Check every electronics, hybrid, commercial-use or other add-on on the declarations page before counting it as covered.
Review evidence
What do customer reviews tell us?
Chaiz displayed BBB reviews at 3.4/5 from 245 reviews, Trustpilot at 3.4/5 from 1,349 reviews and Google at 3.8/5 from 1,036 reviews on August 26, 2026.
These ratings reflect people who chose to leave a review. They don't tell us what share of all customers had a claim approved or denied. Look for recurring themes, then ask the provider how it handles those situations. Reviews can help you choose questions; the contract supplies the coverage terms.
