Buying a vehicle service contract in Arizona

Arizona's service-company permit rules have specific exemptions. DIFI lists motor vehicle manufacturers that pay claims on their own service contracts and licensed dealers selling department-approved programs among the exempt categories.

An exempt dealer must still meet the applicable program and filing conditions. Ask which entity owes the repair payment and whether it operates under a permit or a stated exemption; a dealer's license alone does not explain a third party's role.
