Buying a vehicle service contract in Michigan

Michigan's Attorney General describes paid extended auto warranties as service contracts that cover designated repairs. Its consumer alert warns that exclusions, deductibles, teardown charges and pre-existing-condition rules can leave a repair unpaid.

The seller may be different from the business deciding claims. The Consumer Protection Team can receive complaints about the seller or administrator. Ask each business for its legal name and written obligations; this guide does not establish a universal Michigan cancellation period.
