Buying a vehicle service contract in Iowa
Iowa requires a motor vehicle service-contract company to be licensed with the Iowa Insurance Division. The division's consumer page links to its licensed-company list so you can check the business before purchase.
The division warns that a contract may leave some repair or replacement expenses with the owner. Match the quoted company's legal name to the license and compare the covered amount, deductible and excluded expenses; a license does not establish that a particular repair will be paid.
Check with Iowa Insurance Division.
