State contract rules
Buying a vehicle service contract in Hawaii
Hawaii requires a service-contract provider to register before conducting business and update that registration annually. The filing includes its administrators and evidence of compliance with financial-responsibility requirements.
Check the name of the business obligated under your agreement with the Insurance Division. A registration establishes an administrative requirement, not the scope or value of the repairs covered. Read the claim procedure and any separate state amendment before paying.
Check with Hawaii Insurance Division.
