State contract rules

Buying a vehicle service contract in Arkansas

Arkansas distinguishes its general service-contract registration framework from motor vehicle service contracts defined in Arkansas Code 4-90-501 and following sections. The Insurance Department lists those motor vehicle contracts among the general framework's exclusions.

Do not use a general service-contract registration claim to establish that an auto product meets the separate motor vehicle rules. Give the department the legal provider's name and the actual form when asking which requirements apply. This summary does not establish a cancellation deadline for your agreement.

Check with Arkansas Insurance Department.
