Our Kia database covers 13 nameplates: EV6, EV9, Forte, K5, Niro, Sorento, Soul, Sportage, Telluride, Carnival, K4, Seltos, Stinger. Across 95 model-year entries, it contains 15,375 owner complaints. We do not know how many vehicles were on the road, so the count cannot tell us the share of vehicles with reported problems.
Engine appears most often among the tagged components, with 6,118 mentions. A single complaint may name several components. Check that system's contract terms, while keeping in mind that the count does not show how likely a repair is.
Across the same model years, NHTSA records show 268 recall campaigns and 7,536 manufacturer communications. Recall repairs are handled separately from a paid service contract, while communications include far more than defects.
